posted on 15/11/2004 at 09:50Hi people just thought I would keep you informed of whats happening in the south of the region.
I fished Port Mulgrave last night (3 down,1 up), had 4 fish to 5lb, one taken home for our lasses tea.
Fish taken off the north pier (broken up now) all on lug and rag cocktail.
The 2 night's previous Port Mulgrave had been fishing its head off, one lad had 18 to 8.5lb, another had 6 all around the 5lb mark.
I would not have liked to carry about 5 stone of fish up that cliff, bad enough just getting your gear back up (chance would be a fine thing).
Lots of decent fish being caught from Cowbar cliffs, best Ive heard of was a 6lb'er which got stuck on a ledge half way up, the lad went down and got it (idiot).
Cowbar itself is not doing much, Runswick, is as usual weeded off but one or two nice fish comming in.
Whitby's west still plagued by whiting, no decent cod showing there yet. Hummersea is one of the best marks at the momment, some very good fish been pulled out of there.
Working...
