fished the tyne again last night fished three down two up first three hours were very quiet with my mate catching a six inch whiting which he tried to use as bait but got nowt.i had two codling one on slack water the other about half hour into the flood the heaviest was 1lb9 .both caught on frozen crab and frozen runnies .there was no sign of the seal last night so hopefully its gone.two of my other mates fished hebburn marine only one of them caught he had two codling aswell both about the same weight as mine no sign of the seal there either.shields pier was bad aswell just one codling caught and only a couple of whiting but plenty of hag fish about
