  • 2 day Tyne fishing

    Hi All,
    My very first post.
Fished two days on the Tyne, 1st day at the old velva liquids site, 2nd day at the Spirit of the Tyne statue, caught a couple of underside dabs Saturday, with mackerel, couldn't get anything with ragworms, Sunday caught 3 more, 2 dabs & ok sized plaice (I think) on mackerel strips again, mainly on the incoming tide, nothing after the turn, lovely in the sun though.
I'll try & post pics if I can.

Welcome mate! Nice to get a few fish, the old Velva liquid site is now known as 'the walkway' if you see any reports from there... Hope to see a few more reports!

Welcome to NESA mate. The river hasn't been the best lately but should improve in the coming months.

give the pier a try have some crack with the lads that fish there they tend to be most helpful baites to use and the shots to fish all good stuff

                Welcome to Nesa.
The river is slow at moment, but should improve in coming months and ragworm will fish again.

Well done matey. A small fish is better than a no fish.

Well done shame the rag did not throw a fish up. Still the old blacks are dynamite in the river.
