  • port carlisle 12/11/11 (day) then roker on the night

decided on a change of scenery yesterday so headed over to port carlisle for a relaxing session flattie bashing. arrived 3 hours before high water and waited of the bore passing around an hour later. got set up and cast 1 rod out with crab and the other with rag and macky strip. not a touch, cast after cast nowt, then after an hour or so a flounder and pin whiting. stuck it out til an hour after high water with only 1 more flounder and another 5 pin whiting to show for my efforts.

after returning home got a bit rest then out again last night. fished low water on roker beach, best of baits and nowt, moved onto the rathouse for the flood, nowt til about 2 hours before top water then the whitings arrived ended up with around 25, some really good ones amongst them too. kept around 12 for the pan and returned the rest. the only thing that spoilt the night was the state the rat house is in, angling litter all over and stinking of ****.

Danglers not anglers leaving rubbish micky a disgrace to our sport, well done on your travels shame it wasnt a flattie fest at port carlisle for you but it beats the mess and the smell of the rattie, and good to see the whities are showing in the river were missing in numbers the last few years.
