Tynemouth Beach 31/10

Mate and I fished bottom of the stairs 2hrs down 1hr up. Mate 1st cast got a 3lb codling, 2nd cast a small coalie after that nothing. Both fish caught on rag. I used frozen blacks, razor and squid not a bite whole session. A bit of weed but nothing troubling. Lot of anglers out along the beach but don't know how they did.

We're just back from fishing 6 to 10PM there. Fishing was steady when we could avoid the weed which was worst in the middle of the beach.

I was fishing to your left, Gerry. Only had one just on size at the start of the flood Bottom of the Stairs. Only had time for two casts on Slatey before the flood chased me off - two missed bites on there but might have been small stuff.
