  • RH/LH reel?

Bored today, so here is a "Reg type" post.

I use a right hand wind reel off a boat, but a left hand wind reel off the shore, any other combination feels wrong for some unknown reason.

Am I just weird, or do others do the same?

    PS I am right handed.

It's strange isn't it? Why don't we use the same hand to wind in a reel irrespective of the type?

I'm left handed and probably worse than most. FS left handed, multi right hand.
But when I'm casting it's right handed if the reels up and left if reel down.
            All the gear, no idea.

Very common to do this, where possible I will fish with my reel on left hand (I'm right handed) as it just seems more natural and so more enjoyable.

Anything over 4oz on the end and my l/h does not cope well. I can cast with either
