  • how much is too much...

ok, escaping to Ardnamurchan for weel tommorrow night, and getting me gear together, from which an \'interesting\' discussion has developed with my nearest and dearest, basically along the lines of \"why are you taking all that??\" so for a week\'s fishing...
2 carp rods or flatty bashing and rock hopping
    11\' and 8\' spinning rods
    2 13\' beach rods
    10\', 8\' and 6\' fly rods

    6 multipliers (!) 2 FS reels, 3 fly reels

plus tripod, buckets, boxes of end gear, spinners, lures, flies, lead, bait fork....

might sneak a couple of boat rods in as well just in case the opportunity arises ( and 2 more multipliers, end gear etc)

they reckon thats far too much, taken me all afternoon to narrow it down that far

so how much i too much

depending on the tide a week on sunday, might bring a couple of buckets full of monster black lug if anyones interested, would need to be picked up from out here on monday though

that was another debate entirely...the \"why don\'t you tie the rods on the roof rails instead of taking up room in the car\" debate

jurys still out on that one

                      Hi, Mark
I was up at Ardnamurchan for a week a few weeks ago for me honeymoon. Alongside loch Sunart. We did a bit of shore fishing and also hired a boat for the day. Was hopeing for a big skate but ended up with a few pollack and macky.

A very nice place, but a canny treck. Seen loads of seals n bottle nose dolphins.
                      Have fun mate

bit of a second home for us, average 6 weeks a year up there! be the 8th week we\'ve spent there this year, usually take a boat with me, but probably a bit late for that, so might just see if Ic an bum a ride somewhere

                        long trek but well worthwhile

having a little competition with my neighbours who are up there for the week - heaviest fish and most species of the week, I know where there\'s some big salmon with my name on em
