resizing photos ????

Can someone please tell me how to resize digital phots, i have taken some photos of a couple of cars i am trying to sell on ebay, as with all my photos i take them on jpeg high quality ( 4000 x 3000 pixels approx ) however i have never had to email them or post them before on ebay and its doing my head in, ebay uploader says the files are to big for it to compress, and the email files are huge and take ages to send....any advice please for a computer dummy ????, by the way i have windows XP if it helps

What photo software you got?.........Photoshop?

Bob if you haven\'t got photoshop, there\'s a free program called Irfanview that is quite easy to use.

You just open the image and click on image from the top menu, then resize/resample and a window opens listing various sizes.

Thanks for your help Tony and Kieth i have it sorted now, you have no idea how stressed out it was making me, anyway off on me hols next week to recover
