  • Reel not oscillating properly

Hi I have a penn surfblaster fixed spool, last night when I was using it it stopped oscillating and was bunching all the line up at the bottom of the spool, has anyone had any similar problems and know what the problem could be, thanks

happened on a cheap fixed spool I had once, it was the small cog that turns the larger one inside had broken .... i'd be looking inside at the gearing ...

it is mate the spool was going down then staying there and laying the line all in the same place, ill take it down northeast tackle today.

I wouldn't be that bothered if it was a cheap reel but I payed 90 quid for it and have only used it 5 times

Its sounds like the pin has come off the drive gear, im not to familiar with penn coffee grinders, but if you remove the side plates, you will see where the main shaft, should push into drive gear
If its got t1ts or tyres, its gonna be trouble.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem
