    Did this tonight for my scran...

    Preparation

    Beer Batter:
    Asda Batter mix, mixed with 200 mil' of Brown Ale
    1 x teaspoon of baking powder
    1 x teaspoon turmeric

    Cut Cod into bite size chunks



    Season some flour with chilli powder, salt and pepper

    Groundnut Oil in large non stick pan for shallow frying

    Method

    Dust the cod chunks in the seasoned flour



    Dunk in the batter mix



    Straight into the hot oil and fry until golden brown all round



    Remove from oil and drain on a rack




    And serve how you like

    I had with potato wedges and tomato salsa -yum!
