during hard times
when a leccy bill came through the letter box, i was fully employed that night. my poor bride used to be sat bolt upright in bed at dawn waiting for the "beckies" to knock the door down. i did a bit of galloping across rough country in them days. no echo margerine and mothers pride for my bairns.

My old fellas mate had had a sh~~e there earlier, now they were hiding there, they suffered the smell, and bieng bitten by midges, found themselves hiding from the river keeper at the time, when they thought the game was up and they thought the dog had found them, got off the hook when said dog started rolling in the said sh##e! They still laugh about the stinky dog!!!
