    HI CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH JOINING A CASTING CLUB,, I LIVE IN SOUTH SHIELDS ,, I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A ZZIPLEX M427 AND A TG F1, ARE THESE THE RIGHT TOOL FOR CASTING WITH ?ANY HELP IS MUTCH NEEDED, AT THE MOMENT I DONT NO HOW FAR I AM CASTING , I HAVE BEEN ON A FOOTBALL FEILD WITH A COUPLE OFF PITCHS , I AM DOING ONE AND HALF PITCHS DOES ANYONE NO THE APROX THE MEARSURE FOR THAT CHEERS

    Cant help you with the casting but if you clearing a football pitch and ahalf lenth ways it would be 150 - 195 yards i think. best get a big tape measure or one of thoose 1 meter wheel thingys

      I would reckon thats about 150m. Measure your stride and pace it out if you want to know

        standard footy pitch is around 100yds long,give or take a yard or so, good start for distance chucking mate

              Thats the north east surfcasters association,next event is next Sunday at kirkleatham,good craic and a canny bunch of lads,Will off here runs it,sounds like a canny bit of kit you have there mate,should be capable of some canny distances are you swinging it or off the ground

                alreet mate , yes off the ground never had any lessons ,, would no were to star with penuluim cast haha

                  think i might pop down sunday see if i get some tips , is there a membership fee or a fee at all can anybody just turn up ? and what time is it starting ?

                    Off the ground is the right way to begin before you learn the pendulum,once you mastered OTG,the pendulum is so much easier as you have allready learnt how to position your arms,legs etc,if you go down to nesa meets you will see some fantastic casting OTG and pendulum and nothing is any bother to the lads down there,loads of help and advice

                      Its about 8 quid for daycasting,or you can become a member an extra fiver,just turn up before about 8.30 as they shut the gates before 9,some lads get there earlier to help set the court up,bit nervous my first time on the oche,but to be honest there all decent lads and there is no pressure on the day and you will see some of the best casters in the North east crack off,maybe even slip and fall,but the craic is mint,......Will....am i on commission yet
