5th trip called off

Well not doing that bad, just called off my trip out for this Thursday and looking at the log its only the 5th trip that i planned to go out since March that was called off for bad weather.

Wind Northwest 5 or 6, decreasing 4 or 5 later.
Sea state Moderate, becoming rough.
Weather Showers, thundery at first.
Visibility Moderate or good.

Outlook: 1900 Wed 08 Jul 1900 Thu 09 Jul
Wind Northwest 4 or 5, increasing 5 or 6.
Sea state Rough.
Weather Showers.
Visibility Good.

Not looking much better for the weekend with mod to rough forecast.

Next trip Tue if it calms down.

yup no good just had a drive down the sea front and a lot of anglers with light gear standing from a distance with tears in there eyes looking at a closed roker pier

There was a canny surf rolling in last Monday when me and Ian were at Hartlepool. Was talking to one of the surfers on the beach and he was saying the northerlies were picking up. Magic seaweed is always a good weather indicator.

Had a run down to saltburn today for a pint of lunch and a stroll along the front.

Sea looked great...for surfing!!!

Think it will be a few days before it calms down judging by the brisk ne wind we experienced today.

Yer weather saying very rough now for Sat, just hope it clears up for next Tue.

Royal Quays comp was on this weekend i think, sure it will be called off if it was on.

would it be worth chucking a lure or a heavy plug out into the surf for Bass - often thought about trying it ,but never heard of anyone up here doing it

I know most wouldnt give a location ,but i would have thought if anyone had caught a bass this way they would share info

Oh and belated "Sorry about your dog " Ritchie ,its horrible when it happens

My Doberman died on my 13th birthday while i was at the School "Disco" i came home to my dad and uncle burying her in the garden ,i fill up now when i think about it and thats nearly 29yrs ago

Mrrrr hope that wind direction changes...upto 18mph North north west Slight become Mod and rough for a time

Have a spare space on Sunday as only myself out, seems to be the best day out of the 3 but still hoping for all 3 at sea.
