North Shields beach

Fished N/S beach from 11am till 2.30pm today.
beautiful sunny day,
Catch..... 1 Granny fish,
2 cod fillets from the wet fish shop,
(sick of no fish)
Watched the dredger(I think it was the dredger) and the day go by.
O Aye and the seal.
Enjoyed the day tho.

That dredger going out to sa and dumping 1/2 mile off? is so i hope its done before june time, killed the pier fishing all season last time.

aye smokie m8 it is a dredger its some size there was 4 of us on south shields pier only a flatty about 1-1/2 lb and a codling about the same size caught ,and lots of small stuff but it was a lovely day and still enjoyed it better than sitting in the house ,bring on the summer months now !

According to the news it's taking stuff from the mouth of the Tyne back upriver to backfill the new tunnel, not dumping stuff out at sea.
