Why are you not allowed to post non-fishing items for sale/wanted ads in the trading area?

cheers,fishingfanatastico. :)

Mainly because it is a fishing forum, if you want something else there are plenty of other places to look.

Before we changed things, there was always two or three more pages of stuff that people had to trawl through to find what they wanted. It still isn't right as some people still won't let us know when something is sold so that we can remove it, happy to use the forum but don't give a damn once their goods are sold.

It is also still being abused, both by people posting in there that are not supposed to and one or two sitting trawling it all day hoping to see something before it is deleted. They are then contacting the person to either buy their goods, or to sell something to them, if I see it any more those people will not be using the Trading Post again.

Jim.

Jim, Why not put a deadline on items to be sold or bought.
ie; If it is still on the site after one week then delete it and if the seller/buyer wants to put it back up onto the site then they can post it again.
