Fueled up at 5.30am and was at out 1st mark at 6.10am, myself and Graham again with the plan of plotting new marks and marking a few new wrecks..always a day that could go wrong and ending up with nothing.

Well 1st stop we hit a few codling, coalie, whiting, sandeel and the main thing...a nice bucket of mackerel for bait :)

So with bait sorted off we went, 1st two stops some wrecks we fish often and we took a few codlign and ling upto 5lb off them, then off we went to mark out some new marks.....1st one bang on with cod and ling a drift and all around 6-7lb.

So with a little bit of a lump from the south but sun out, we decided to head up Blyth way and up the Alcan. Next wreck not there anymore, next one way to small to fish and next one we only got 1 fish off it but it was my first double in the last 2 weeks, a cracking cod of 10lb 8oz

We hit a few more wrecks on the way back taken laods of codling and the odd ling on the pirk AGAIN and then headed for home with a building sea again.

So my catch

35 cod/colding best 10lb 8oz
5 ling best 7lb
20+ coalie
60+ mackerel
4 whiting
1 sandeel

Until Monday if the weather holds off :)

Well done Richy that is a lovely cod. I think if that was the only fish I got on a trip, I would still be very happy.

Was on SS pier early on this morning watching the boats go out feeling very jealous.

Jonny:)
