I usually go out on a monday abusing my body with the amber nectar but with this weather i stopped in .The wife and daughter watch that jungle crap so i was relegated upstairs to watch tv.I watched extreme fishing and come to the conclusion that he is one of the biggest ar*******s on the telly.Not only is he getting paid for going around the world fishing (lucky sod),but he stand's there moaning because he has'nt had a bite for a few hours .I can't see him sitting anywhere in the middle of winter.:rolleyes:
 
Were all the same mate, but he isnt a hardned winter cod angler like us. Get him on the pier in the middle of winter and you will hear him swearing from sunderland and beyond!!:o:)

Mind u its a good show to watch, was laughing my arse off at him last nite, the poor ****!!:D:D:D
 
I attempted to watch one of the previous episodes when there was nowt else on the box and had to switch him off. He's an embarrasment to his north eastern roots. What a whinging cry baby!!!
I must admit to being a tiny bit envious - getting paid for fishing and travelling all around the world to do it - you wouldn't hear any whinging at all from me - in fact, it would take the world's total population of wild horses to drag the smile off my face.
 
I find it uncomfortable watching the way the guides he uses gaff the fish.....And then he stands holding the fish screaming and whooping like a mad eejet.

If I was a fish I'd rather be caught by Henry Gilbey or perish the thought be snogged by Rex Hunt, but at least there'd be some dignity

its about the views though, its not going to make it on to our TVs unless theirs lots of viewers, which robson (like it or not) brings.

aye shaun your right it, is about telly ratings.its ceartainly not about what the horrible piece of s==t does for fishing or for the north east:mad::mad: someone rightly said they could not see him on a beach in the winter in this area,and i think that encapsulates everything about the ar====e:mad: i cant see him on a charter boat either,when its hard going,and having to look after himself:mad:( but trust me i would love to:exclam::exclam:
 
I love it and think its great, agree he cant fish to save his lfe, swears way to much, goes well over the top but still love watching it as you never know what cock up he will make next...for everyone that moans about it just dont watch it simple as that......it gets people that dont fish at work talking about fishing and this makes my 10 hour shift pass quicker so all good fun :)

I'd like to see him standing on Hendon Prom in the middle of winter fishing for cod when there is a big swell on. I bet he would be screaming like a little girl.
 
Hendon Prom is one of my fav spots so if you find out when he's there let me know. I'd hate to be there listening whining, moaning whinging tosser. Mind you he'll have his boy to do all the hard work as usual.:p
 
Easy for us fishing folk to point the finger and believe me, I DO !!!

But I'm guessing the majority of viewers won't have even picked up a rod ,I know that's true from the lads at work that watch it .So it can't be easy to make it exciting and interesting for people .

I suppose he has to act quirky and cute for the poor wives that must "suffer " it ....bless em !

All in all ,I still watch it ,yes I cringe and wince sometimes ,but I always watch it and a good few lads who don't fish think it's good .

True,its about bums on seats for the TV company.We're lucky in one respect in that it raises the profile of angling in general and having well known actors in our corner wont do any harm when the "anti's" kick off again.
Not only that Steve,he's a dead ringer for our man Smiler:eek::D

Raising the profile of angling in a negative way , bad language, bad practice.robson green and his multi million pound machine are destroying any goodwill previously gained.The antis are still watching and haven't gone away. By the way, please don't call angling a sport-can anyone remember country sports!
