Tynemouth Beach 15/11

Fished North end 730pm - 930pm. Rubbish conditions - sea too rough, wind too strong, rain too wet. Amazingly didn't blank with a 1 ounce rockling saving my blushes, otherwise bait ( razor, runnydown )coming back intact.
Someone fishing middle of beach hopefully did better but did leave half hour before me.
Now going to my bath with 2 cans of lager and " The Codling Crouch" to read and get some inspiration cos I need it.

Good effort!

Good effort!

I had contemplated the beach last night! It's one of my favourite places! I fished the Northern skeers in Cullercoats Harbour last night. Finished on the Southern wall. It was "windy" to say the least. It was a bit of an epic facing in to it but you probably had it a little worse on the beach!
I'm out again tonight! I have been on wind guru and the wind forecast is a little favourable (SW, S and turning SE at gusts up to 7 knots).
I'm having a repeat visit tonight in the hope that the SE last night have brought the fish in to feed! I'm going to try 3 down and 2 over, as it is a bigger drop and going earlier will give access to deeper water.
Good luck for your next outing!

Good luck tonight mate, sadly cannot get out tonight but conditions looked good this afternoon

enjoy ya cans mate ,there better than the fishing.

sometimes its better to read about fishing than to actually do it, especially with a few beers and in a warm bath. Must have read "Codling Crouch " about 5 times now and its still a good read.
