Wor lass dropped hers I took it to apple give them 140 and I got a brand new one in the box

Youve had your pants pulled right down there mate I took it to the apple store last time i dropped it and they replaced the fone free of charge as it was the 1st time i had done it i wouldnt give ne one £140 if it was just the glass

there front is made of a few parts, the touchscreen is fixed to the lcd with what is effectively double sided tape (very stick double sided!) Done quite a few

you can replace just the glass of the touchscreen, 2 tiny screws either side of the dock connector, stick a rubber sucker on the glass by the home bottom and tug upwards about an inch, that separates the front, hinge it up till you get access to the ribbon cables, remove them and the front is free of the rest of it. A hair dryer softens the double sided enough for you to remove the touchscreen glass pretty easily

if you look on ebay there are loads of just the touchscreen glasses available at under a tenner, most come with tools, and a new adhesive patch to bond the new one in place

have a look on you tube or just google iphone glass replacement. fiddly cos the screws are minute but not rocket science

if you don't want to bugger about replacing just the touchscreen you can pick up an lcd & touchscreen assembly together for 30 quid or so

It's the iPhone 4s rang around a few shops costs 100 so for an extra 40 got a brand new one

Mark your talking about a a 3G or a 3GS the 4 is a totally different job

oops. Iphone 4 is not that different though, just a lot more screws to take out. and you have to work from back to front. same 2 screws pop the back off rather than the front. loads of screws to lift the gubbins out of the case to finally release the screen,

the lcd and digitiser separate the same way with double sided
