whey hey

Hey ha\'way lads, well ADULTS in my eyes a bit of banter is a bit of banter I for One has had it aimed at me a while back on many occasions. But to call one another \"scum\" - (trash/worthless people) is WELL BELOW THE BELT ! Well Uncalled for! There is absolutely NO NEED to come out with that remark! :casstet: And i am only a teenager, Makes you think! :( :(

I apologize sincerely if I\'ve caused offence to anybody. My remark was meant in good humour and if read in it\'s true context without isolating the \"s\" word, I think it\'s clear that my intention was a bit support for the Black Cats.

After 30 years in the building trade and merchant navy I\'ve cultivated a very thick skin that deals with \"good humoured abuse\" every day and sometimes I forget that others may be offended by what is the every day norm to me, i.e. just yesterday, I was told that the Geordie race was created by a Scotsman who jumped over Hadrian\'s wall and raped a pig. I could have gone screaming to the politically correct plebian guffwraps but I PML instead.

Once again, sincere apologies to anyone offended and I mean it!

nice to see an apology oblickta, i for one supports newcastle but my dad supports sunderland - would that make him scum! NO, its a football team, there to play football. I still cant see why someone would call another that name for supporting a football team, Ridiculous!, lets leave it as that!

There has been Geordie/Macum banter, fun etc. for 46 years that I know of. I can remember queing at St James\' Park to get in the Boys/OAP end for a shilling when they had police dog trials before the game and we used to get in for nowt if the pitch needed \"forking\" to drain exess water. Believe it or not, I\'ve spent ages forking the pitch alongside S/land fans in St James\' Park with their red & white stripes so the game can go ahead.

My remark wasn\'t aimed at anyone personally! It\'s just the NUFC/SAF (fun, banter or whatever) rivalry that has existed for as long as the clubs have and sea anglers ain\'t eva gonna change that!

Jonny mate, my Dad was from Burnopfield (not with us now) and a S/land fan all his life. I would never refer him to \"s\" unless it was just good fun then he\'d fill me in, in a friendly sort of way.

I respect all your comments lads and hope you understand that I meant it in fun without prejudice to anyone.

its a football team, there to play football.

Aye Jonny I hope they start soon tho!! :D

No offence taken by me Graham, being a Sunderland fan born and bred in North Shields I\'ve also grown a thick skin, as well as the ability to run very fast on occasion lol

excellent drink, still is as well :D

Can you still buy Double Maxim? I used to drink it in vaux pubs and if you wern\'t careful it would blow your cap right off.....\"the ruin of many a young man\" ! I learned my lesson the hard way with the rocket fuels and steer clear of them unless it\'s just a quite 1 or 2.

There\'s a shop in Jesmond (forgot the name but just off the Cradlewell bypass) that\'s got a snidey back room full of imported beers. Well worth checking out but a bit pricey.

My fav. is Jever pils (North Germany) but cant buy it in England.
