Got my butt out of bed and popped down about 9:30am. Got a sporting ticket. About 15 other anglers out. Saw a few fish come to the net on the bottom pond mainly to one young lad. I noticed he was a very good caster although most people were reaching a similar distance. He was obviously a very good angler as well as he took about 5 fish out 7 or so I saw. . I tried allsorts but didn't even get a pull, a lot to learn:red:

Try it Steve, it's like sea fishing but with no lead or bait, and your reel could be made out of cheese because it doesn't matter. You get to wear nice clothes, eat oat cakes, catch fish and turn young lady aristocrats heads with ones rough and earthy ways. (Burp) Sorry.

I'll sort you out with a rubbish rod a few manky flies and teach you to cast as well as me in 3.7 minutes. We'll be fishing as equals apart from my illustrious background (My Grandparents were stewards nee gatekeepers of Birtley Catholic Club during the Ayton Inquisition [TRUE]) which I can't help!
