seen the article in the sunderland echo, although i havnt read the full story im sure it says a couple of 4x4 ended up getting stuck who came to help them.

he was stuck on the softest part of the beach you carnt even walk over were he was As the soft blue clay comes over the top of ya wellys..

nice :o, bet theres some ribbing going on about that lot, why do they get up close to the cliffs ??, ok the beach ramp is a wee bit buggered at the moment but you can see were people have either gone south running at the side of the beck or north closer to the rocks, and you can get a fair way up as long as you watch were your going, or on the beach as long as you watch the tide

as a bit of a sideline to this one, is there a contact number for anyone that can help pull you out if you get bogged down and cant get off the beach

nope the only way you get out is if you know some one with another 4x4 or tractor. or there is always the other way of digging it out with a spade or jack it up and fill the holes on with rocks.

hi mate you can get down on horden beach you need to go to blackhall on the top of the bank on entering the village take your first left after the bus stop travel down past the gardens down the bank and over the beck to the beach might see you down there sometime gary williams from horden

end the day thats what the emergency services are there for, however in this case a lot of it could have been sorted if they used a bloody mobile phone and gave correct details of were they were on the beach and the issues involved, jesus it aint that hard, can they actually block the access to vehicles there, talking to the local tackle dealer about being stopped by the police and or a fine for being on the beach he said no they cant, you have the right of access from that point, perhaps its time then that the guys that fish and use 4wd`s got together and got some sort of help system in place, i know i for one would help a fellow angler if he was having problems with his vehicle, one thing though, looking at those vehicles none seem to have off road tyres on them, yeah i know that even those types dont help in all situations, however road going tyres and mud dont mix, and the kid did say every time he goes near mud he gets stuck - perhaps time to change his tyres, as for looking for the dog, mine goes off on a mission every time i take him the beach, comes back eventually, usually like hes been dipped in mud
