The end will be chocker block, but as Mark says you could try further down, but its L/W tonight about 5ish,so it depends when you can get.

Think i will try is Fri at 12 until 3pm...using your experiance of the area Will, if the sea is like it is today (weather same all week) what you think then spot on the pier bait etc?

Richy, it sometimes depends on where you can get mate. Anywhere from the breakers to the end of the pier will fish but anywhere near the bend always fishes well on an easterly (that would probably be my choice). The end of the pier tends to get a lot of the bigger fish but it gets far too busy along there lol. Some people fish just behind the breakers and get some cracking fish.

You can sometimes get plagued with weed just before the bend but it can be worth waiting it out though.

Jim.

fished it from about 6 til half 9ish, bait was runny down and squid, when i got there, i was told to fish the bend as thats where most of the fish were, and nothing much was getting caught on the end, but there was a canny few people on, so i was basicaly fishing just infront of the breakers... first cast got codling just under 2lb. 2nd cast got a cod just under 3lb, then that was it after that, but there was a few fish being caught..

me & the lads fished it on sat there was 5/8 people on the pier it was bad the wind ruff sea by 11ish there was 5 of us left on the pier we left at 1.00am about 10 fish between us all under size all put back i call it Blyth cemetery ther is no fish left up there ha ha ha
