Hartlepool today.

Well guys went down to the Pool today. Seas were huge. Heugh unfishable. Middleton looked dicky. Did,nt fancy losing tons of gear off the pilot so i parked up on the headland and walked to Steetly. Fished from about 2pm until 11pm.
Weather bad at beginning and sea was lifting,as day wore on it did settle. I thought i had a cod with my first fish but one of the lads looking over said it was a big whitie which then fell off. Caught another couple of whities and a small tommy cod about a pound. i put all these back.
Used Rag,runny down,razer and squid.
Just got back about 00 30 hrs.
Enjoyble day.
Saw some cod caught on steetly biggest about 3 1/2 pound.
Disappointing re amount of cod caught. Still it was high tide when i left so there may have been more.

The wind is suppose to settle a bit tomorrow and then pick up again from the North East at the end of the week,shame I'm stuck at work
