Northumberland Big Sea Mark?

I usually have a trip "up North" during the hols for a session somewhere different to my usual Tynemouth/Whitley Bay shots. This was going to be Thursday 3rd (tomorrow). I'm assuming the sea is going to be huge. Does anyone know of a rough weather shot up North ? (Cresswell up to Seahouses) or am I better off staying local & fishing my local rough weather spots (St Marys/Cullercoats etc).

Hi John
You could try left hand side of hadston cars on newborough beach, or fluke hole on the left hand side of marden rocks fishing foxton beach.

Cheers Mal. Stayed local as the sea was massisve. MartyE & myself went down to West Bay at St. Marys but there were at least a dozen anglers already fishing it (wonder if anything came out as it looked perfect?). We started at Big Bay on Whitley beach, looked ok but could not hold bottom so moved to Cullercoats. I managed a cod of 6lb, then Marty took over & had 3 fish in 3 casts 2 1/2 lb, 4lb and a nice fish of 7 1/2 lb. before the kelp washed in & stopped play. All fish returned.

Fished the South side Rod. Weather was wild, but the wind was on our backs, just as well as the hail almost had your eyes out when you faced into the wind
