Redrock, still trying me hardest mate and not doing to bad for a owld git but need a motor to get me to the marks now.
I could go to the blast but I know I would need camel to get me off now.

Harry if you want to post a pic of your catch I have put a sticky at the top of the shore catch report section which tells you exactly how to do it:)

hi harry, yes pic good need a helicopter to get me back up from the blast mind you i have a bit of a knee prob and i think it might be thro walking down bank on blast, you might disagree here but i think the blast might have the edge on horden beach for cod, i heard there was a net off were you were fishing did you not get fast at all.

Horden today

John,I know what you mean about snaggy bottom.
But I never lost any gear at all, I used for the first time the cannylink with a pully rig(I have no profit or gain from this statment)using a rotton bottem rig.
I used a trapped swivel with impact lead on the other rig.so double patting all day.
My doughts using the cannylink and pully rig in strong cross winds that the hook willnot release because of wind pressure on the rig in flight.I was wrong it released the hook every time in the strong southely wind today.
The only thing I can think why this works is that unlike the Gemmin clip the cannylink can swivel because its in a loop unlike the gemmni(spelling) is fixed
with a knot.
Your thoughts !!!
Some other day it might not work I for one will be testing it out again.

hi harry my thoughts on southerly winds are no bait clips at all ,tried all kinds in a south wind the imps as well no bait clip is only confident way for hook release for me its strange i never have same prob in a light northerly is it because i normaly fish flood tide and tide is flowing same direction as wind i dont know.
john

Please release me.!!!!

Please release me.!!!!

John, point taken but impacts every time but not in a rotten bottem rig cos its like pulling a binlid in backwards and will anchor its self in any nook n crack the grabbing little git.
Reminds me of someone that does !!!

Nice fish bud.

John, I think Horden has fished much better this year than the blast. Your statement is probably true most years but not this season.
