Some info on fishing the cambois area much needed...
Never fished this area before and fancy giving it a go. Was having a look about the other day to find the marks i have heard about.
1- The slipway.. well found the slipway and looks fairly straitforward so no problem here.
2- The silos.. I hear you fish right behind the middle silo... First question.. how do you get a hooked fish up that boulder slope??? is it just a case of doing an impression of a mountain goat? Secondly.. looks a rough ground mark. Is that right? or is it a sandy bottom? And finaly, what sort of cast needed? i guess you would be fishing from the top of the slope so a huge cast wouldnt be achievable.
3- North Blyth side pier.. is it fishable? is any access available? There looked like there was a locked gate but didnt have a close look. There also looked like there was a fisherman on it lol but i could be mistaken.

Any info on these marks or any other marks around this area would be most appreciated!
P.S first post on this superb forum. cheers

Welcome to NESA mate

There is no fishing allowed from the East Pier !
Its very dangerous and not worth the risk in any conditions

The silo's is a rough ground mark Davey but a short cast of 40 or 50 yards will more than suffice mate. When anglers get a fish on they just make their way to the bottom of the slope, it is a lot easier than it seems at first glance lol. I find it fishes best with a bit of sea running but have had fish from there when it has been flat.

Welcome to NESA Davey and good luck when you give it a go.

Jim.

As willy says that i pretty much it though there is a sandy trianguler patch of sand but you need a scout at L/W as the stones either side of it move around.
