Anyone oot?

unless anyone can say different Tony I heard the wrecks today were unfishable due to the wind .... :( St Marys turned out best :)

...... :) :) :) but tomorrows another day :) :) :)

I had a couple of hours out from Amble yesterday , first time this year I've had mackerel without having to go miles offshore , I drifted a couple of hours behind the island and caught all kinds of fish , mackerel, cod, whiting, pollock, wrasse , pouting and even foul hooked a tiny sprat but nothing of any size. We try there every time we go out , we've had a few cod from there and the odd coalie but it's been pretty barren up till yesterday.
I didn't go today because of the winds that were forcast and my lads got a game tomorrow so I doubt I'll get out then either :(

Ray.

Like you say Norman - tomorrow is another day...been down to the coast just less than an hour ago and there's ne'r a ripple on yonder sea...the wind is barely a mermaids breath either ;):)

Nice one mate - we were out as well...will wait for skipper to post report tho ;)

Where abouts were you fishing from? Tyne? Amble? Wear?

Seems the fishing has picked up this weekend after 2 poor weeks at sea.

If the wind drops off this week i may give it a bash...so you maybe right Steve about having a second go :)

Yer hoping to take my mam out close in on Sat, just going to try around the piers then Souter.

Winds light west for Sat so that small roll that will be caused from Fridays nw winds should soon be gone, mod becoming slight will do me fine for Sat...not wrecking thou Steve :)...well unless i cant find cod close in

Weather changed again.

Beaten by it again :(

Never going to fill that last half draw in the freezer with mackerel for the winter lol

Sorry m8 just got confused with the mackerel for the winter bit. I'm hoping we'll be able to get out whenever possible this winter, need to start picking jeff and the Volante lad's brains.

Well if you cant drop me line i be hoping to hit the inshore marks maybe 3 times a month for the odd cod etc your welcome to come along if you cant make it out yourself.

Never had a great deal of luck fishing from a boat in the winter but to be honest i have only tried 3 times i can remember.

From my records 3 trips, 1 codling laod sof whiting, coalie and pouting but may give it a better bash this year with havign my own boat, can pick and choose the days and groudn to fish.

Sure the likes of Bert and co could answer better with more experiance at sea than myself.

I consider boat fishing to start April until mid Oct if weather holds, after that i not really tried that hard.
