The sons school has an "occassional day" day tomorrow, so I might take him out fishing for a while tonight saying as he's off tomorrow.

Just wondering where people fish from at Spillers, saying as I've never been before. :p Is it more or less fishing out of the back of the car, and can you fish it at any state of tide??

Thanks in advance!

Hi m8,yeah you can park right next to where you fish.I tend to fish it hour before low water all the way up on the flood, odd snag but close in but other than that it`s fine.have never fished all of the ebb so cant comment on that.hope thats a bit help.

Spot on mate. Think I'll have a look down. ;) Is it that car park next to Spillers that you fish from? :red: Like I say, never been before!

You just drive down alongside spillers where the entrance is.Think you`ve got to go along to the ouseburn club to get in the car park your on about, even then im not sure it`s open all the time cos of boy racers.

:D So where do you fish from?? The entrance to Spillers? Sorry if I;m coming across as thick, just I'm not familiar with the area. :)

if you drive down to spillers, at the ight hand side as you look at the building there's a bit of the quayside thats open right to the waters edge. I see cars parked there regularly with folks fishing from the boot

if you can't get parked there if there's a few there already, head past spillers towards BEL (thats going down stream!) couple of hundred yards further on there a small roundabout, turn righ there and you can drive right down to the bottom and park on the quayside there

if thats busy(!) go straight over the roundabout and just keep going, brings you on to the river side at St peter where there's always masses of room to park right next to the railings

Cheers, I thought you had to go through that big car park to get into Spillers. :red:

newcastle - Google Maps

I take it people are referring to the brownish/red square car park to the right of Spillers in this photo??

Didn't realise St Peters was so close. Which is the better mark to fish??

No, that's to the left of Spillers building:p I meant at the other end right next to the cars that are parked facing towards newcastle. You will end up parked at right angles to those cars. It is easy to work out when you are there - its much harder to describe ;)

as to which fishes best.... like anywhere, bit of pot luck needed I guess, at least if ones dead its not far to shift to the next

all the bits in red you can park right on the quayside
