    its a cracking rod john only used as a spare , but as said before I am 79 in july and its time to start down sizing of the amount of gear I have before I call it a day, just trying to sort some gear out one at a time as you know all my gear is looked after and in good nick.

    seaham friday

    fished seaham pier friday for a couple of hours weather not the best fog and rain got down there for 9am only another two on the pier packed up just after 12 to head home, landed 4 fish for the SAR species challenge all small.

    seems to be the same problem local area john, northumberland seems to be only place where any fish have been reported on other fishing sites

    when I first started sea fishing john some 57 years ago now ,I had to get the bus to newcastle then the train down to shields walk down from the station to the tackle shop then all the way along you say ladys bay . there is a table rock at the far end there used to be a big sewerage pipe there...

    thank you for the offer but it was deep sea john that was asking about bass fishing, the area on the picture is a good mark for flatties never fished it last year as the heavy seas in the winter had removed all the sand just bare rock left round boulders hard to stand or even try to walk over...

    the long sands is worth a try john possible be down your way friday going to try trow rock south side as it looks like all the sand has returned. last time down there it was just boulders ankle breakers winter storms taken all the sand away picture taken few weeks before the storms

    think thats why some members just did not bother going onto the site, but there is also a few other sites now going. in the past NESA was the only one just have to look at the amount of fishing sites on face book .
