We should now all be on the https version of the site. Lots of work to do to get NESA fully up to date, but next stages are to upgrade this forum to the latest version and to bring back the articles on the main site. There are bound to be a few hiccups, but please bear with us.

You should be able to use https://www.nesa.co.uk/forums/ now Somebody is working behind the scenes to make sure it's the only option shortly, redirecting the old links to the secure url.

It's been http for about twenty years, but we're going to have an update soon and will get it moved to https at the same time.

I've just found it hidden in one of the templates of the forum and have removed it. I have no idea how long it will take the hackers to come back, but I don't have the time to do much else, I'm afraid.

We're now on a new server. It was all going well, then something screwed up right at the end, hence the downtime. Glad we got there in the end, though :)

Had server issues. This site WILL be moving servers shortly, hopefully in the next few days. This will mean a bit more disruption. Chances are, we will lose a few posts along the way. The only alternative would be to shut down for a couple of days. I'd rather just cop the flack for losing a few...

I just logged on to see why I had more 'reported posts' from NESA in my inbox this morning than we've had in the entire year. My thanks to the moderators for dealing with it on a Saturday night. I'm moving this thread over to the chat forum, too. It has nothing to do with shore fishing.

Skimlinks has run on here for years with no such problems. I've switched it off for now and will contact them during office hours. Thanks for the heads-up.
