  • hi James, not from Blyth myself, from Forest Hall so not a million miles away. Me and mates just used to go there at weekends and practically every day in the hols. That thread about the old pier was because me and wor kid went there many years later and just couldn't recognise it. After all the replies to the thread I now understand it was because the lighthouse thing had been removed. We fished it a few times after that but aint been for a couple of years now. Hope it doesn't collapse before I go again. I do go up there regular to sport and leisure who does a cracking deal on crab and last december got a new original abu 6500 off of him for just a ton. Infact I got another one off him in January for the same. How times change ehh, one minute scraping a few pennies together for a couple of tabs and a few dodgy worms and the next hoying tons over for reels that you would only of dreamt of then. lol. Anyway, good luck on yer fishin mate.
    Gordon
