I see there is a new charter boat operating out of Amble, the Cassie Rose II, and they have posted that they were out very recently, with photos of some 3lbers and a ballan wrasse. It's starting to look encouraging. All we want now are some calm seas.

I hope so! But maybe not until later in the month. She went back into the water today, squeaky clean. At least for now. Nobody at Amble marina has been catching much so far, but fingers crossed for your trip.

been fishing since tues only had 2 fish in 3 days tried everything the only thing i havent tried is the wrecks cant understand it It's strange alright, given that some shore anglers are landing nice fish. Otherwise I might have suggested the cod have gone offshore chasing sprats.
