no its not very snaggy, hardly lost anything, only time you loose gear is when you drift passed bouys, rigs get caught on ropes under the water. But had no trouble anywhere else.

No problem, I used braid, June should be a good time, I went beginning of July this year and it had all the species there, although the mackerel were still scarce. Its a great loch if your on the species hunt, but havnt caught anything massive of yet.

Well this weekend is right off, north easterleys are battering the sea and its set to continue. Hopefully it will all settle down for next weekend, so a can test out me new rigs and catch a few fash hopefully.

I tend to vary the bait I put on depending what others on boat or catching on. Think Macky is a decent all rounder and I always take some on board, but always as a preffered bait, use worms, squid tipped lugworm is my favourite combination. Have heard peeler crab being deadly for catching cod...
