I was exactly the same as you mate before my first charter trip, I spent the whole week before worrying about puking and all the 'what ifs' if the skipper had to turn back etc etc etc.... I ended up enjoying it so much I went out and bought myself my own boat and havent looked back! Good...

Yes mate, lift, twist and it comes straight off just like the rod holders. I havent seen railblaza's but the Scotty stuff is excellent and has never let me down yet :) Si

I got the Bison one mate and it is spot on, I have a rail at the back of my boat so just fitted it with a Scotty rail adaptor like this- Or you can screw a Scotty mount straight into the GRP to fix it. Si
