Had a good night up at Cresswell last night. Me and my mate Dave fished two hours either side of low tide. We were trying out some Blueys as we had never used them before, and I was very impressed!

Dave ended up witrh 11 flounders (three were good size keepers) and two small turbot, plus a couple of small coalies and a Lesser Weever.

I got three flounders, a plaice, one turbot and three coalies. All under the size limit except the plaice.

All the flatties and turbot were taken on just strips of bluey just flicked out with light spinning rods, the other fish came on rag. I think I will be buying those blueys again for sure:)

Cheers

:DNice one boys, sounds like u both had a canny sesh!, better than than Blyth pier wot wiv all the summer "ANLERS! lol, might have a trip up 2 Druridge mesell soon, keep it up, and thanks for the report;)

Thanks lads. Wayne, get yerself on a nice beach mate, I avoid the pier in the summer, its nowt but hassle and there is plenty to be got from the beaches in summer. Druridge is a good place. Plenty of room so you aint overcrowded by other folk, and quite a number of species to be had.

i find them canny good myself ...i normally have em in my freezer good for tipping with sandeels too...good catchy name tho even tho its called mackerel pike from china or somtihng like that. been around a few years tho i think. i started using them last summer and it seldom lets me down ,
