Good luck mate up in Scotland I met u down st peters

all right lads got back from whithorn this afternoon had a cracking time up there.
fished as soon as we got there on friday at 10am,first chuck with light tackle spinning off the monument got me 1st ever gar fish wierd looking thing and covered me with scales then had a few polloack biggest about 1lb 1/2 no mackies though some had been caught later on the afternoon but very few and 2 small dog fish.saturday was even better the weather was spot on tried the harbour on the afternoon and bagged a 2lb colefish thats a pb for me then tried bait on the bottom and float off the front of the caravan site manage 2 get about 3 wrasse on the float great fun and some small pollock kept losing gear bottom fishing so gave up. i wanted to have a go for mullet floating bread in the harbour but got a bit choppy an old bloke next to me had a colefish 5lb was a belter overall a fantastic weekend cant wait to go back up there.

1st time on site needing a bit advice i,m off to the isle of whitthorn in 2weeks time for a weekends fishing and would like to know of any fishing hotspots and what type of bait and tackle to take?
