01/03 - Roker

I fished Roker beach last night with my mate into the bay area between the two piers. Conditions were very windy making bites hard to spot. Fished from about 11pm to 9am. The only thing I caught was a small codling, around 1lb, at some point around 1am. A fun nights fishing never the less, but undoubtably a few bites missed due to the wind.

Canny session - had one little tommy off the end on two rods and that was it. Saw a 1.5lb place and a 1lb codling caught and a rockling between 8 rods. No whities - warning sign that spring is approaching.

A good blow will see some fresh run fish so don't pack up yet. Get hold of some crab and you will catch.

Well done Gavrick and Jimbob at least yas tried and as Jimbob says if we get a good blow there'll be some fresh runs kicking about still.
