Went out last night with me Dad and James89 for a few hours on the beach, wasn't expecting much with the conditions but wasn't going on the rock ends with Dad as he's getting less mobile these days.

Lost what felt a decent fish early on and then nowt until just after the bottom of the tide. Was standing talking to James and saw me rod nearly go all the way over in me stand so ran over and reeled into a good lump. Gave a canny scrap and ended up landing it, 6.5 on the scales.

Took a whole squid stuffed with cart and mussel





Was chuffed as it was our first trip out for a few weeks, hope i can bag a few like that on Saturday for the NvS.

I'd usually expect a blank in the conditions we fished in. Luck was on my side eh !
