Fished shields pier for 3hrs Friday. As expected not much showing really, more fishing than mackerel caught.Anyway ened up with 4 mackerel, 11 sandeell and 3 colie.

Unless things change,this is looking like my second worst summer from the north east coast on my records.

Well try some proper fishing instead of mackeral bashing,there are plenty of nice red cod and wrasse in the weed!

Am not really a bait fisherman, spent to many years sitting watching a rod tip blow in the wind with little reward.

Only bait fish up scotland our days or from the boat.

Love my spinning with 15lb fireline and a light spinning rod.

Poop year so far mind, 2 weeks time i will be up scotland for a bit of fishing from the rocks.
