Fished the tyne last night for a couple of hours from 6.30pm. First chuck line had just settled and the rod tip starts rattling 
- result - 1 Flounder just over a pound. Mates first chuck resulted in the same. Next chucks were the same only smaller fish. 3rd chuck took a bit longer about 5 minutes then both had more flounders. But then it all went dead. the river calmed right down and went like glass and then.. THEY came. 6 casts 2 came back clean hooks, 2 came back with claws attached and 2 still had the crabs hanging on! decided at this point to give up.
Still not bad - 3 fish each in just less than 2 hours - all returned safely.
Baits used Fresh rag, frozen blacks, mackerel strip and garden lob worms.
