Finally managed to get first bar of silver of the season
Tried hard plastics and Soft plastics during the day at various states of the tide, but no luck despite a few terns looking interested in something close in
Ended up fishing the flodd tide overnight
Rag flicked behind the breakers with the spinning rod and a 2oz lead
first cast and line beeing taken before I could even close the bale arm
lovely 2 1/2 pounder safely returned to fight another day
No more bass after that, but had 3 flounder from the same spot then rain got to heavy
Was just north of where I was taking to the two guys from on here last saturday who were working their way northwards up the bay
Not giving spot away as have done for previous marks only to witness people decending and taking undersize fish. for those who know me my usual stretch of northumberland coast
