picked worms up at 5.30 and headed for seaham pier
first cast produced a small tommy for mad rob ,3rd cast the same for me
6 hrs later nothing ,not even a bite ,blizzards and it felt like gettin sand blastered at 100 mph
decided to head for the rathouse at roker at midnight
1 person fishing so we decided to join him it was only one of my mates didnt recognise him with the snow coming down
sorry i never mentioned the 20 rats that kept us company also
we put the big rods out and the small rods just short looking for new species
my rod banging away 2 small whiting on first cast, then straight into another
my mate hooked a double sided flounder not abit white anywhere wierd to look at

finally last cast produced a flounder for mad rob
a long 12 hour session in bad conditions but we both got new species and the isomes worked and even though there was no big fish we enjoyed it
bait used everything you can imagine but lug and isomes were the killers
good night and god bless my face is red raw and full of pins and needles

Well done lads, not just on sticking it out all night in the crap weather but for catching a couple of new species as well.I went to the glass centre with the lad and between us managed the grand total of 1 postage stamp sized flounder.

So I take it is was a good night , no big fish but I can understand that as the time of year is wrong.
We need the weather to calm down and warm up before we start catching fish again.
Nice report and welldone on the eel pout.
