1) fished steetly pier this morn (no mack though) caught this ugly looking thing that looked like an 8in tadpole with flippers?any clues. 2)starting to get winter gear sorted i know its a bit early but having back op soon, been looking at those D-VICE bait casters anyone tried them yet with any results.

browny gray, unhooked it with forceps it seemed a bit docile but went back ok.

sounds like a gurnard,i caught 1 off there last summer

might have been a tadpole fish my son got one off the middleton pier a few years ago and it really did look like a big tadpole but it's colour was black not grey.
