200 lber S.Shields pier 22/10/12

Fished pier end early this morning,caught 2codling, a good whitey and coalie then the big one took.Fought it on surface then it straightened my hook and gone! Bait used 1.5LB codling. ps its the biggest seal i,ve seen it a long time.
6/0 vikings next time.

There was a big one there yesterday right off the end when a had a walk along made a move when the jet skiers came along tho .

Yeah when I was down the other day there was a really large seal 50yds off the end aswell..... hope it isnt planning on taking up residence! It can bugger off back up the coast lol

It seems to be hanging around the end allreet, large as life and twice as broad. Fished there Friday afternoon and every time you cast in it seemed to be laughing at you!
