Just a quick report again.
Arrived at cullercoats about 06.30-07.00 to see that the sea had'nt droped off the way we had hoped but went for it anyway,once in the water and out the harbour it was lumpy VERY lumpy so we just had a few small drifts just out from cullercoats and NOTHING Once we saw a few more boats appear and head north we decided to follow suit and head to the CAN.We had quite a few drifts in various areas around the CAN and all produced COD on every drift Also had a few scary moments with the damn TUG boats cutting it close to us a couple of times all in all another good day total of 17 cod.13 keepers all around 2.5lb-3lb with 2 about 5-6lb

Cracking haul mate, saw few boats by the can st marys, from shore looked nice out there, what boat & size were you in? saw the tugs one was very close to the yachts

yeah there were a few boats out there we were in my dads predator 165 its a little beast it copes quite well out there for a 16.5ft boat its called KINGFISHER 2 ...

Well done Wandy, that’s a good haul in these lean times. Were the fish close inshore in the shallow water or slightly deeper out by the can itself?
