 BEEN THINKING [ you'l probably smell the burning from there ] does a three minute run time on a reel realy make a difference:question:  on average a cast lasts say 10 secs so as long as the reel doesent slow down within say 20 seconds does it realy make all that much difference:question:

exactly. -- now if you could keep a lead up in the air for a minute  . i can remember one of the lads in the the early days at n.w timing a reel to nearly 3 minutes the telling me he put w.d 40 in it. result -- a big enough birdie to fit 3 craws in.and when it came to me winding mags off, by the time i got my hand to the knob the lead was on the deck.

hi martin keeps telling me one drop of red rocket fuel so what does that say. years ago at driffield howard grey said the way i was casting i should be getting better distances in his words my cast was smooth, he asked me what i had in bearings,he persuaded me to use what he was using and we all know howard was a big caster he was using plus gas i tried it ,distance wise no diff,
