Well after hard day on Sat i changed my directing and plan of attack, set off at 6am to a fantastic flat sea and bright sun well on its way up.

We started by hitting the mackerel for bait and joined Shady and Slinky over a inshore wreck but never stayed long with 4 boats over it but still managed a couple of hook ups with 3lb codling for the pot.

So we moved around hitting 11 wrecks plucking the odd cod and ling upto 6lb along with the odd coalie and whiting. So not a bad day but not an easy day fishing wise, thngs must start to improve when that water clears.

As the wind got up so did the sea, so with being 9 mile out (could not get to fav wrecks ) we started making our way back in.

But one last stop, just off souter in the hope of a few more cod and yes we did get 4 hook ups and landed 2 around the 4-5lb mark along with loads of mackerel then we headed back home with a just full fish box but nothing over 6lb.

Not a bad haul considering the recent conditions and everyones high expectations this season. Was suprised to see the choppy conditions as there seemed to be very little wind inland. Hopefully the weather will be kind for the next few weeks and some of the monster ling I hear about may be seen:eek:

Well done

Jonny:)

Yes a big thanks again to rich for the trip out today.hard going
but still a couple for the plate.i definitely think the cloudy waters are playing a big part in the low numbers being caught, but
lets see when it clears, also nice to meet greame off the nesa, better luck next time ,say no more haha

Hope the SE wind does not put much more colour in the water as its dirty everywhere already and i think this is what has killed the fishing off, as before it we had some great days.

Anyway still nice to feel nice cod banging away on the line and the odd ling for good luck :)

Once Again A Very Big Thank You To Richy For The Kind Invitation To Fish Onboard Stingray On Friday 3rd & Saturday 4th. As Always Look Forward To And Enjoy Every Trip.
Give It My Best Shot On Friday But Only To Blank. This Spurred Me On For Saturday, There's Never Two Days The Same (Is There?). Unfortunately Saturday Was A Reapeat Of Friday And Blank Number 2 Was The Outcome.
Nice To Meet A New Face Gary (PlasticGaz) Who Can't Tell The Difference Between Margarine or Butter (Say No More) .
Lets Hope The Season Hasn't Come To An Abrupt End And There's Many A Days Fishing At Sea To Be Had Before The End Of 2010.

This weekend Graham this weekend and if the wrecks fail its a day on the rough ground up Newbig for a change with baits.

saturday is looking ok at the moment for me (if the little one gets better) sunday would be a no go due to a certain princesses 3rd birthday.

Well Why Didn't You Say It Was Going To Be Late Start On Saturday In The First Place   I Could Of Made A 09:00 Kick Off Oh Bugger Looks Like I'll Be On The Quest For Another Double Figure Carp Instead :D:D. Will Make Offerings And Prays To The Gods For Sunday

My Mistake Richy Read Your Previous Report Wrong (Ooops). 09:00 Sunday Morning It Is. Unless Saturday Turns Out To Be As Hard Going As Last Weekend And I'll Guess You Will Be Giving It A Miss.

Maybe a later start than 9am, work looks like it will get in the way for a few hours.
