This comeing week sees some of the samllest tides before the end of the year and with the forcast for a fairly nice week of lightish southerly winds the inshore wrecks with a bit of luck should throw some quality fish out late october usually means the cod once again home in on the inshore wrecks and with the water being now so clear for the time of year who knows whats in store this week is probably the last chance this year for the inshore wrecks to fish there best blown off today but lets see what tommorow brings.

I had planned to be out today but due to the nw swell and rain decided to just clean the boat. May give it a bash at the weeeknd if the weather holds but as you say tides on the up again by then.

Squid been doing the best from what i have been hearing further south.

Yes northeast you are right mate the tides get big by the weekend which at this time of year the uptiding usually fishes well but over the last big tides the boats that were working the rough ground were amaized just how good the fishing was considering the size of the tides but that could be down to water clarity no algie at this time of the year thats why the water is so clear at the momment just getting ready to down to the boat for this mornings trip so fingers crossed ita full crew but they and they are all splits from all over the place.

Well report back good or bad, not many catch reports to read of late in boat fishing.

Water around the Tyne close in looks like mud due to the rain and rotten leafs in the river.

looks like big cod does it again posts on here there and every whare must need the free adverts lol

Paul posts detailed info about his trips and his reasons for fishing where and when. How many other skippers do this?

You should absorb what he posts instead of criticising.

Well conditions this morning we far from ideal with a fair southeastly breeze and northerly swell the sea state wasnt very nice at all but as the day went on conditions improved the swell started to drop out and the wind eased fishing was steady we took fish every where we went the best of the day fell to ray smith with a nice ling which went over 22lb we also had cod to over 8lb considering the conditions we didnt do to bad some lads fished well and managed quite a few cod and ling.

Ray with his 22lb ling.

Yer the sea looked abit naff in the photo.

Take it you never stayed that close inshore then?

Still nice seeing a few fish being caught, if we get a nice flat day i maybe tempted but from past experiance never do well this late on.

With the very small tides northeast i prefer the inshore wrecks that is when they fish there best i had chris flowers party on from barnsley today they managed some really nice cod amoung a lot of ling .

One of the lads with a nice cod.
