525 mag magnet?? wanted??

hi lads,ive just got me self a 525 mag xtra, and its fast as f++k,when ive had a closer inspection there doesnt seem to be any magnet in unlike my 525 mag,this is in the silver thing under the handle.....if yer nar wot i mean?? ive had a look on line and cant find any for sale so if any of you lads know where i can get one any info appreciated. if any one doesnt know what im on about i can send pics. thank you:mad2:

Are you after the magnets themselves or the carrier to hold the magnets



Isn't the silver thing under the handle the spoil tension cap

it looks like a bearing ? my 525 mag has one but my 525 mag xtra hasnt? do you think it needs one to slow it a tad......sorry if im confusing any one!!!!

just had a look at a schematics diagram and it looks like a bearing......

You'll have to put a pictur up I'm lost lol. I know that if you unscrew the end cap you can see a bearing were the end of the spindle passes through.

I'm not 100% sure but pretty sure there should be a bearing there. Is the spool still wobbling a lot when end cap fully tightened.


Probably best taking it to a tackle shop because I am no reel expert.

its the bearing thats missing defo

you can get then on ebay about £10 there are 2 off then one at each end off the spool .i would off said it will run slower as the spool moves about more when casting

its defo the bearing mate , just go to the tackle shop they have bits and bobs like that lying around some times , if not you can get them on ebay for about a 10a
